A  PROJECT  IN  PUERTO RICO

“Much is expected of those to whom much has been given” – Kennedy

In a quest to find the optimum location to establish a non-profit Maritime Technical Training Center, the magnificent island of Puerto Rico with its ideal demographics, ample waterfront property, high regard for education and broad manufacturing base, quickly rose to the top of the list.

The value of education ranks high in modern Puerto Rico, and the relative strength of a young and vibrant population known for their pride, quality work ethics and industrious values, is noticeable. Blessed with several facilities of higher learning, the founders of this 501(c)(3) non-profit venture identified an underserved niche that is ready to be seized and cultivated by the right management team.

Planned as a hybrid between a training center and a manufacturing facility, several alternative sources of revenue that appeal to a wide customer base were discovered. These are waiting to be tapped by our Business Model of diverse services and products as the engine that will drive sustainable revenue generation.

The founders expect the company to gain a profitable market share within a reasonable time and to be self-funding within the first few years after the startup. The diverse Marketing Plan reaches a variety of audiences through an extended Web presence. This serves as a virtual network communications tool and Internet forum for the exchange of ideas. In the Executive Summary, Budget Outline and Operational Plan you will read about the Competence, Industry Knowledge, Expertise and Passion with a "can do" attitude, that supports this project.

We are currently actively seeking Corporate Partnerships of all types and Capital Funding for the startup. An impressive modern, eco-friendly marine construction and repair facility on its own waterfront property is on the drawing board and ready for launch. The startup budget also makes provision for the operating costs to graduate the 1st group of students (18 months) with the most prestigious Certificate in the industry. There are many ways to contribute, and all Capital investments and donations are tax-deductible under section 170 of the IRS code.

You are invited to join this vibrant extended community that is much greater than its students, employees, Board Members and Executives. Our Mission’s reach and the success of our Vision will require strong alliances with active corporate partners, suppliers, customers, education groups and anyone else who has an interest in the marine industry and/or improving the overall labor situation - specially in Puerto Rico - by helping people to go back to work.
